Individual Learning Journeys
Every child learns in their own way and at their own pace.
Our educators take the time to understand each child’s interests, strengths and developmental needs. By observing and engaging with children during their daily activities, we tailor learning experiences that support their individual growth.
This personalised approach helps children feel confident, supported and encouraged as they explore, learn and develop new skills.
Canning Vale is a very multicultural area. We have Educators that speak English, Hindi, Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi and Te Reo Māori which aids in settling children into care that don’t speak and/or understand english.
We also use the Picture Exchange Communication System or PECS (picture cards) and Auslan as forms of non-verbal communication for children who do not understand English or who are pre-verbal or non-verbal.

If a child has been identified with additional learning needs or special rights, our educators work closely with families and local support agencies to create an individualised plan that supports their development and participation in our learning programs.
