Philosophy and Values
Where curiosity becomes confidence. We at Vale Village Child Care Centre have developed a set of values that support busy families, leaders, and educators in being aligned for the benefit of our kids, families, and our community. We stand by our values and relate them to everything we do, embedding them in our everyday practices.
Together we Endeavour
As a collaborative, diverse and dedicated team, we value teamwork highly. We believe that working together, respecting other opinions, making children feel safe, and effective communication are critical for providing a high-quality service.
Collaboration is Key
Collaborating with our families and the wider community is important to us, as it helps us participate and develop respectful, reciprocal relationships. We consider our educators to be an extended part of the child’s family and community. We also believe that, if we work together, we can encourage children to achieve better outcomes for themselves.
Save our World
We value our planet and recognise that we are all global citizens who need to work together and advocate for sustainability. We also teach our children to reuse, recycle, and reduce.
Igniting the learning Minds
We help children learn at their own pace by providing the educational opportunities they need to develop and become more confident in their social skills and learning capacity. We look at each child through a holistic lens, offering experiences in a safe environment to stimulate their young minds.
Nurturing our future
We build strong, loving, and nurturing relationships with our children. We recognise that when children are nurtured and their wellbeing is supported in long-day care, they thrive.
We are one
We understand that everyone is different and unique, and we respect each child for who they are and what they bring to our environments. We create inclusive environments to cater for all abilities and cultures. We understand that all cultures, family structures, genders, and abilities are important to each person’s identity. This includes our own country’s cultures, and teaching our children about our diverse world is important.

We couldn’t be happier with Vale Village! When we decided to explore child care options that suit our lifestyle and needs, we found many child care centres around our area and went to multiple centre tours but Vale Village is the only one that stands out and made us come back to her. The environment is warm, nurturing, modernised building, and thoughtfully designed to make every child feel safe, loved, and inspired.

We absolutely love Vale Village Childcare! Both of my kids attend and are always so excited to go it really speaks volumes about the environment. The educators are amazing: kind, patient, and truly supportive. The centre managers are always around and approachable, which makes communication feel easy and natural. I’ve already recommended Vale Village to several people I know. The owner is such a lovely person always greeting us with a warm, welcoming smile. It genuinely feels like a second home for our family.

The centre is lovely, the staff go over and above, the staff are present and engage in the activities with the children most importantly they have created a space that makes the children feel safe and welcome.
My daughter would scream and cry refusing to go to her previous centre, now asks to go and is excited on her booked day. After looking at multiple services we are happy with our choice.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does your service manage illness and infection?
To ensure a safe learning environment and your child’s protection, our early learning centre follows national illness exclusion periods.
If your child becomes unwell at our beautiful centre, we will contact you for prompt collection. We appreciate your support in keeping unwell children at home to help protect our students, staff, and families.
Should your child require first aid, many of our educators know how to administer it.
Our Curriculum?
We deliver a child-led, play-based curriculum that follows the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS).
Because every child is unique, our planning begins with their interests, strengths, and developmental needs. All our educators hold a Certificate III. This means they can observe and document each child’s journey in kindergarten programs to create meaningful, intentional learning experiences that foster growth across all areas—social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language.
Our curriculum is:
- Child-Led & Play-Based: We turn curiosity into exploration and discovery.
- Holistic: We support the “whole child,” ensuring they develop the social and emotional skills needed for life and fostering emotional intelligence.
- Inclusive & Respectful: We celebrate cultural diversity and ensure every child feels a sense of belonging.
- Continuously Evaluated: We rigorously document and reflect on our practice to ensure we meet and exceed national standards.
This flexible, responsive approach ensures your child receives a high-quality education tailored to their individual potential.
What types of food do you provide, and do you cater to dietary, cultural and medical needs?
Healthy bodies build healthy minds. We provide a wide variety of nutritious meals and snacks developed in line with the Get Up & Grow Healthy Eating Guidelines.
All meals served are Halal and carefully balanced to support your child’s growth, energy levels, and overall wellbeing.
We happily cater to all unique needs, including:
Medical & Dietary: Food allergies, intolerances, and specific medical diets.
Cultural & Religious: Respectful catering for diverse backgrounds.
Preferences: Vegetarian and other approved lifestyle choices.
To ensure your child’s safety, we ask families to provide medical management plans or dietary details upon enrolment. Our team is always available to chat about how we can best support your child’s individual requirements.
What is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and how does it work?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) can cover up to 90% of fees at most childcare centres in Canning Vale, including ours. This means you simply pay the “gap fee.”
Your eligibility is based on three things:
- Family Income: Families earning up to $85,279 receive a 90% subsidy. This percentage gradually decreases as income increases, capping at $535,279.
- The 3-Day Guarantee: As of January 2026, all eligible families are entitled to at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight (approx. 3 days a week), regardless of work or study hours.
- Activity Levels: To unlock 100 hours of subsidy per fortnight, parents generally need to participate in at least 48 hours of “recognised activity” (work, study, or volunteering) per fortnight.
Please note that, from January 2026, eligible families are guaranteed 3 days of subsidised care under the Child Care Subsidy. Families can use a Child Care Subsidy calculator to estimate their potential subsidy and out-of-pocket costs.
How to Apply
- Log in to myGov and link your account to Centrelink.
- Submit a CCS claim under the “Families” section.
- Provide your enrolment details to us once your child starts.
- Confirm the enrolment in your myGov tasks to activate the payments.
Tip: Apply 4–6 weeks before your child’s start date to ensure your subsidy is active from day one!
Why this update matters for your site:
- The 3-Day Guarantee (New for 2026): Previously, parents who didn’t work enough hours might get 0 or only 24 hours of subsidy. Now, everyone gets 72 hours (3 days) automatically. Mentioning this makes your centre look current and helpful.
The Income Cap: It has been updated for the 2025–2026 financial year to $535,279.
How do I see about my child's day?
To make this section feel as warm and transparent as your centre, I’ve streamlined the text to highlight the “best of both worlds”: human connection and digital convenience.
Staying Connected to Your Child’s Day
We believe learning continues at home, so we make it easy for you to stay part of your child’s journey.
Personal Connection Our educators prioritize face-to-face chats at drop-off and collection. We love sharing the “little wins”—a new skill mastered, a creative masterpiece, or a funny moment that made us smile.
Digital Updates with KindyHub For updates on the go, we use KindyHub, our secure parent app. It’s your window into the classroom, allowing you to view:
Daily Essentials: Meals, sleep times, and toileting.
Learning Stories: Detailed observations and progress reports.
Photos & Videos: High-quality snapshots of your child in action.
Two-Way Chat: Send messages, feedback, or “stories from home” directly to our team.
Note: While we aim for daily digital updates, our first priority is always supervising and engaging with the children. If the app is quiet, it’s because we’re busy playing!
What you need to bring?
- Please ensure all belongings are clearly labelled with your child’s name. Backpack large enough to hold all belongings and easy for your child to open if able.
- Spare Clothing: At least 3–4 complete changes, as play and accidents are part of learning.
- Nappies: 5-6 nappies for the day or you can bring in a bag of nappies and we will let you know when your child needs more
- Drink Bottle: Filled with water and labelled. Children can refill during the day.
- Milk bottles: if your child requires milk bottles, please bring a bottle enough breastmilk or formula for each feed. We provide cows milk and any other milk alternative.
- Sun Hat: A broad-brimmed or legionnaire-style hat must be worn for outdoor play.
- Wet Bag: For soiled or wet clothing to promote sustainability and hygiene.
How do I start the enrolment process?

You will also be invited back for an orientation morning, giving your family the opportunity to get to know the centre and team of Educators even better.
- Enrolment will depend on how quickly you can complete our online enrolment and when you require care, usually within a week, subject to availability.
